Hello Friend!

Nice to meet you. My name is Mark Que and I’m from the Philippines.

This is my first time writing a blog here in Medium, and I hope we can be friends after.

I usually start an About Me section in whatever platform I choose to. It’s like introducing yourself to a stranger in a bar or party.

It gives you a better perspective of who you are.

But first…

Let’s answer first what my title says…

The importance of About Me

#1 It’s the start

It sets the tone that you’ll have to start your journey in this space. It’s like putting your keys in your car and starting the engine.

It sets your mind to be ready as you start walking in this path you’ve decided.

#2 It sets the tone

You will have to share your vision or your goals for having this blog.

It could be your personal space about your journey. It could be a place where you share your learning and value to others.

Whatever you plan to make this place be, share it.

#3 It’s to connect

There’s no better way to share your stories than your about me page. If you’d like to share your ups and downs, feel free to do so.

For me, I treat the About Me page as an area where you can be vulnerable.

Being vulnerable doesn’t signify you’re weak. But it shows that you have courage.

It’s worth it to be ourselves. This would make your posts relatable to the readers.

Who am I?

I am Mark Que from the Philippines. If ever you need tips about our country’s beaches etc. let me know :)

I am 29 years old, and I’ve been doing digital marketing since 2016. I’ve been in Instagram space since 2014. I’ve developed different niche community accounts like food, travel, personal development and health.

I’ve just started doing food content creation for my food blog — www.instagram.com/chibogtayoph

Some of my interest includes copywriting, email marketing, and direct response.

I’ve been a book reader and an online course collector. (please don’t be like me!)

My Journey

I have a Shiny Object Syndrome — I usually try to learn things that I think are trendy.

I’ve been buying books and courses that I thought would help me grow.

I always have this idea that I should keep on buying.

As time goes on, the courses and the books keep piling up.

I kept on acquiring knowledge but haven’t implemented most. — this feeling really s*cks!

Discipline, Focus, Action, and Consistency — these values would serve as my north star this year.

I’ve also set a rule — One up, one down. (I can only buy another book/ course once I’ve finished what I have)

What to Expect?

Every week I’ll be writing things that I would love to share.

My key interests involve the following categories:

  • Personal Experiences and Learnings
  • Blogging
  • Email Marketing and Copywriting
  • Money Savings
  • Online Side Hustles (Online courses, apps, income opportunities)
  • Books

This would also serve as my repository of knowledge and a way for me to summarize and teach you the learnings that I get.

My 2022 Goals

  • To be Consistent in writing blogs here in Medium
  • Grow an email list that would benefit from the newsletter i would write
  • Be able to create at least 52 posts for the whole year
  • Be eligible for Medium Partner Program
  • Create and maintain a Youtube Channel
  • Read 52 books this year
  • Create 2–3 Passive Income Stream for 2022
  • Earn at least 6 figures from my income streams before 2022 ends.

I don’t plan this post to be long.

You’ll also be expecting short-form content from me, as I’m still building my writing confidence.

I hope we’ll be friends — If you find that this would be of value to you. I hope you can follow me :) I will do my best to follow back.

If I haven’t, please message me.

I would also love to meet you on my other social network:
